The 5410IVC adjusts everything with the push of a button head, foot, and bed height. That's the biggest daily-quality-of-life difference between this and cheaper beds. Trusted Invacare qualityInvacare has been building homecare beds for decades. This bed comes with Invacare's standard homecare warranty coverage that's Invacare's way of saying they stand behind the build. It's also FDA-cleared and meets UL962 and CSA safety certifications. This package includes everything you need to sleep in the bed on day one frame, mattress, and full-length rails. Upgrades are optional, not required. Bed height that saves caregiver backsThe bed adjusts from 14" low to 23" high. Low position makes patient transfers safer. Manual crank backup for power outagesEvery function on the bed has a manual crank backup if the power goes out. Storms, blown fuses, electrical issues you can still adjust the bed to a safe position. This is a critical safety feature that many cheaper beds don't include. Interchangeable, washable bed endsThe head and foot panels are interchangeable and can be washed with standard water pressure. Easy to keep clean, easy to replace if damaged, and reduces long-term ownership costs. This is why hospitals and long-term care facilities prefer Invacare. Easy tool-free assemblyBed sections snap together without tools. Our White Glove Delivery team assembles it in your home in about 30 minutes and demos it before we leave you don't have to figure anything out. KEY FEATURES The features that change daily care every one earns its keep The FeatureWhat it really means for you 6-button hand pendant control Head up/down, foot up/down, height up/down Everything the patient or caregiver needs, right at hand. Cheaper beds skip this and leave you helpless in an outage. Washable, interchangeable bed ends Clean with standard water pressure Head and foot panels are washable and swap easily. You are on the one with powered height.
Everything on this bed moves from the handset, height included — and that matters most to whoever is caring for them rather than to the person in the bed, because it is the thing that saves a carer’s back at every wash and change. Worth knowing the other way round too: if nobody will be adjusting the height more than occasionally, the semi-electric is the same bed with a crank at the foot end, for less. Where the Invacare packages differ is not the features, which you already have here, but how they hold up. Our own rental fleet is Invacare, and a rental bed goes into a different house every few weeks and has to work on arrival every time — we buy the ones that come back. For a defined recovery that is not worth paying extra for. For an open-ended one it usually is.

These are different beds from the one on this page. Positioning features should be used as directed by your care team.
Call and tell us who is in the bed and who is caring for them, because the answer decides this one. If somebody will be washing, dressing or transferring them at the bedside, the powered height on the full-electric is protecting that person’s back and is worth the difference. If the bed gets set at a comfortable height once and left there, the semi-electric does the same job for less. We will also tell you straight what mattress comes in the package and whether it is the one you want for how long they will be in it — on an economy package it is a basic foam, and for someone in bed most of the day that is the part worth upgrading rather than the frame.

You're Viewing Drive Medical Delta Ultra Light 15033 — FULL-ELECTRIC
Package includes: Frame + Mattress + Half Rails

The Drive Medical Delta Ultra Light 15033 Full-Electric Hospital Bed is our budget-friendly full-electric bed package that doesn't compromise on the things that actually matter. It has all the full-electric conveniences you'd expect — head, foot, and vertical height all adjust with a hand pendant — plus two things the pricier Invacare package doesn't offer: a higher 450 lb total weight capacity (vs Invacare's 450 lb total / 350 lb patient) and a substantially lower price. This complete package includes the frame, an inner-spring mattress, and half-length side rails at a bundled price. For families who want reliable full-electric operation without paying premium-brand pricing, this is the bed we point them to first.

    PACKAGE BREAKDOWN
Everything you get in the box
    (3 essential pieces)
    1. Full-Electric Bed Frame (Drive Delta Ultra Light 15033):Full-electric operation means the head, foot, and vertical bed height all adjust via a simple hand pendant — no cranking required. Sleep surface is 36" wide × 80" long (standard hospital bed size). Bed height adjusts from 14" to 23" — low enough for safe patient transfers, high enough to save caregivers' backs. Built with a heavy-duty steel frame with reinforced crossframe for durability, plus a manual crank backup for power outages. Total product weight capacity (patient + all accessories + bedding combined) is 450 lbs. Recommended patient weight limit is approximately 350 lbs to leave safe margin for bedding, side rails, an overbed table, and caregiver lean during care. Patients over 350 lbs should consider a true bariatric bed (call us at (713) 695-4939 to discuss options).
    2. Inner-Spring Hospital Bed Mattress (included):The included mattress is an economy foam mattress (36" × 80" × 6") with a wipe-clean waterproof cover — meets 16CFR1632 and 16CFR1633 flammability standards. It works, but honestly, most of our customers upgrade to a therapeutic foam or deluxe pressure-relief mattress when they order — especially for patients spending most of the day in bed, or anyone at risk of pressure sores. Use the $55 upgrade credit below toward a premium mattress, or add an alternating pressure mattress overlay. If you're not sure which mattress fits your situation, call us — we'll walk you through the options.
    3. Full-Length Side Rails (included):Two full-length rails that run along both sides of the bed. Provide safety and prevent falls, and double as an assist handle for patients who can reposition themselves. Rails fold down when not needed. Not sure if full rails or half rails are better for your situation? See the configuration option below.
Rail Upgrade Option Want Full-Length or Halo Rails Instead?
This package comes with half-length side rails by default (clamp-on tool-free installation). If you'd prefer full-length rails (full-perimeter fall prevention) or Halo-style safety rails (circular ring design that minimizes entrapment risk), we can swap them at order time and give you a $55 credit toward the upgrade — so you only pay the difference. Full-length rails are ideal for high fall-risk patients; Halo rails are ideal for cognitively impaired patients who need a stable handhold for repositioning.

🛏️ Mattress Upgrade Credit $55 Credit Available
The included inner-spring mattress works great for most patients — but if pressure sores, long-term bed use, or serious skin protection are concerns, you'll want to upgrade. Get a $55 credit toward any of our Hospital Bed Mattresses (premium foam, gel-infused, high-density) or Medical Air Mattresses (alternating pressure for wound prevention).

See It In Person Come See Our Full-Electric Hospital Beds in Our Houston Showroom
We keep this bed set up in our Houston showroom so you can see it before you buy — test the hand pendant, feel the height adjustment range, and check whether the sleep surface fits the patient comfortably. Most importantly, try it with one of our premium mattresses on top — the difference between the economy foam and a therapeutic foam or deluxe pressure-relief mattress is night and day, and it's much easier to feel it than to describe it.

WHY THE DRIVE DELTA ULTRA LIGHT IS THE SMART BUDGET CHOICE

    WHY CUSTOMERS CHOOSE IT
    Real benefits you'll feel daily
    (from day one)
Full-electric — no cranking, ever:Semi-electric beds still require a hand crank to adjust bed height, which is exhausting for a caregiver and impossible for many patients to do alone. The 5410IVC adjusts everything with the push of a button — head, foot, and bed height. That's the biggest daily-quality-of-life difference between this and cheaper beds.
Trusted Invacare quality:Invacare has been building homecare beds for decades. This bed comes with Invacare's standard homecare warranty coverage — that's Invacare's way of saying they stand behind the build. It's also FDA-cleared and meets UL962 and CSA safety certifications.
Full package — nothing else to buy to get started:Some listings show you a frame price, then hit you with mattress and rail add-ons at checkout. This package includes everything you need to sleep in the bed on day one — frame, mattress, and full-length rails. Upgrades are optional, not required.
Bed height that saves caregiver backs:The bed adjusts from 14" (low) to 23" (high). Low position makes patient transfers safer. High position raises the sleep surface to caregiver-friendly working height for changing sheets, bathing, or wound care — no bending over.
Manual crank backup for power outages:Every function on the bed has a manual crank backup if the power goes out. Storms, blown fuses, electrical issues — you can still adjust the bed to a safe position. This is a critical safety feature that many cheaper beds don't include.
Interchangeable, washable bed ends:The head and foot panels are interchangeable and can be washed with standard water pressure. Easy to keep clean, easy to replace if damaged, and reduces long-term ownership costs. This is why hospitals and long-term care facilities prefer Invacare.
Easy tool-free assembly:Bed sections snap together without tools. Our White Glove Delivery team assembles it in your home in about 30 minutes and demos it before we leave — you don't have to figure anything out.

    KEY FEATURES
The features that change daily care
    (every one earns its keep)
The FeatureWhat it really means for you
    🎛️
    6-button hand pendant control
    Head up/down, foot up/down, height up/down
Everything the patient or caregiver needs, right at hand. No fumbling with cranks or side controls — just simple, intuitive buttons anyone can use.
    📏
    14" to 23" height adjustment
    Motorized floor-to-deck lift range
Low position makes patient transfers safer (less distance to fall from). High position saves the caregiver's back during bathing, sheet changes, and wound care. This adjustability is the single biggest reason to buy full-electric over semi-electric.
    🔧
    Manual crank backup
    Works during power outages
If the power goes out, you're not stuck. Every motorized function has a mechanical override — you can still safely reposition the patient. Cheaper beds skip this and leave you helpless in an outage.
    🧼
    Washable, interchangeable bed ends
    Clean with standard water pressure
Head and foot panels are washable and swap easily. Long-term homecare gets messy sometimes — this design makes daily hygiene simple and reduces long-term costs.
    🛡️
    Full-length side rails included
    Fall prevention + assist handle
Rails serve two purposes: they prevent accidental falls, and they give patients a solid handhold for repositioning. Fold down when not needed. Half rails available as a swap option.
    UL962 & CSA safety certified
    Meets clinical safety standards
Same certifications hospitals require. If you or a loved one is discharged from a hospital and needs a bed at home, this is the same class of equipment they were sleeping in.
    🎨
    Color-coded junction box
    Simple maintenance and repair
All electrical connections are color-coded so if a cable ever needs replacing or troubleshooting, it's obvious what goes where. Reduces service calls and downtime.

Not sure which model fits your situation? You're looking at the Drive Delta 15033 Full-Electric — the right choice when patient independence and caregiver ergonomics matter. Push-button height adjustment eliminates the manual crank required on semi-electric beds — which matters more than you'd think when the bed needs raising and lowering multiple times a day for care. If budget matters more than caregiver ergonomics and you always have someone available to crank the height, the Drive Delta 15030 Semi-Electric package may be a better fit at a lower price point. For premium build quality, consider the Invacare 5410IVC package — our best-seller. Both models are also available in an XL 84" configuration — we recommend it for patients 6'1" to 6'6". Under 6'0"? The standard 80" bed is a great fit. Call (713) 695-4939 and we'll help you pick the right one.

    (everything else you might need)
Premium Long-Term Care Mattress:Upgrade from the economy mattress to a Gravity 8 Premium Pressure Relief Mattress. Better for patients spending most of the day in bed, or anyone at risk of pressure sores. Use your $55 upgrade credit.
Alternating Pressure Mattress:For serious pressure wound prevention or Stage 1-2 pressure ulcer treatment, consider an alternating pressure mattress. Continuously shifts pressure points to prevent skin breakdown.
Halo Safety Ring Bed Rails (in stock):An alternative or complement to standard side rails — circular grab-rings that mount to the bed for patients who need help sitting up or transferring. Easier to grip than flat rails, especially for arthritic hands. See Halo Safety Rings.
Overbed Table:Height-adjustable rolling table that fits over the bed. Perfect for meals, reading, laptops, or medical tasks. See overbed tables.
Trapeze Bar:Overhead handle mounted to the bed frame that lets patients pull themselves up or reposition without full caregiver assistance. Big independence booster. See trapeze bars.
3-Piece Hospital Bedding Set:Fitted bottom sheet sized for the 36" × 80" hospital mattress, oversized top sheet, and pillowcase. Regular sheets don't fit — get sheets designed for this bed. See bedding sets.
Washable Underpads:Absorbent, reusable pads placed on top of the sheet under the patient. Protect the mattress from incontinence, spills, and skin oils. Machine washable and last for years. See underpads.
Privacy Screen:Portable 3-panel privacy screen for the room. Great for shared rooms, care visits, or maintaining dignity during bathing and dressing. See privacy screens.

FALL RISK OR NEED PREMIUM QUALITY?
    Alternatives to the Drive Delta
    (upgrade paths for specific needs)
Option 1 — Add fall mats to this bed:Keep the Drive Delta and add a Tri-Fold Bedside Safety Fall Mat on the floor next to the bed. Cushions any fall, folds flat when not needed, and works for most low- to moderate-fall-risk patients. Simple, affordable, and keeps your total cost low.
Option 2 — Upgrade to the Invacare 5410 LOW package:For patients at higher fall risk (Alzheimer's, dementia, seizure disorders, or anyone who repeatedly tries to get up unassisted), consider the Invacare 5410 LOW Package. It drops as low as 9.5" from the floor (vs 14" on this Drive bed) — the goal isn't to prevent falls, it's to reduce injury when they happen. The Drive Delta doesn't come in a LOW variant, so this is the upgrade path for high-fall-risk situations.
Not sure which is right?Call us at (713) 695-4939. If budget is your main concern and the patient isn't a serious fall risk, stay with this Drive Delta. If premium build quality matters for extended daily use, look at the Invacare 5410IVC. If the patient is a serious fall risk, go with the Invacare 5410 LOW.
    FAQs
    Quick answers before you buy
    (fit • features • delivery • upgrades)
What's the difference between full electric and semi-electric?
The big difference is bed height adjustment. A full-electric bed (like this Drive Delta 15033) motorizes the head, foot, AND the bed's vertical height — all with a hand pendant. A semi-electric bed motorizes only the head and foot; you have to hand-crank the bed height, which is exhausting for caregivers and impossible for many patients.

Full-electric costs a bit more up front, but for anyone spending significant time in bed — post-surgery recovery, long-term care, hospice, or anyone with limited mobility — the height adjustment is what matters most. It makes patient transfers safer and dramatically reduces caregiver back strain during daily care. Semi-electric makes sense mainly for short-term rentals or budget-first buyers.
Does the mattress come with the bed, or is it separate?
The mattress is included in this package. You get the inner-spring hospital bed mattress (36" × 80" × 6.5") along with the frame and side rails — one price, complete package. The economy mattress is a solid basic foam mattress that works great for most patients.

If you want to upgrade to a premium pressure-relief mattress or an alternating pressure air mattress (recommended for patients spending most of the day in bed, or with existing pressure sores), you can apply a $55 credit toward any upgrade at order time. Call (713) 695-4939 and we'll walk through mattress options.
Full-length rails vs half rails — which should I choose?
Half rails (the default on this Drive Delta package) cover only the upper half of the bed (head end). Best for patients who can safely get in and out unassisted but want a bedside assist handle to help them reposition or sit up. Half rails make it easier to sit on the edge of the bed for transfers to a wheelchair or walker.

Full-length rails (available as an upgrade) run along the entire side of the bed, top to bottom. Best for patients with significant fall risk, anyone who's bedridden, or patients with cognitive issues who might try to get up unassisted.

If you'd prefer full-length or Halo-style rails, we'll upgrade them at order time — you'll get a $55 credit toward the upgrade so you only pay the difference. Just let us know when you call. Not sure which is right? Tell us about the patient's mobility and we'll recommend the right choice.
What weight can this bed support?
The Drive Delta 15033 has a total product weight capacity of 450 lbs — this includes the patient PLUS everything else on the bed (bedding, side rails, overbed table, trapeze bar, IV pole, caregiver lean during care, added pillows, etc.).

Recommended safe patient weight is up to approximately 350 lbs. That 100 lb margin between the patient recommendation and the total capacity is intentional — it accounts for the weight of everything else that sits on or attaches to the bed during normal use.

If the patient weighs more than 350 lbs, this bed is not the right choice — look at the Invacare BAR600IVC bariatric bed instead (600 lb capacity, wider frame). Call us at (713) 695-4939 and we'll help you pick the right bed for the situation.
Is this Drive bed right for an Alzheimer's or dementia patient?
For patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments, we usually recommend the Invacare 5410 LOW Full-Electric Package instead of the standard 5410IVC.

Here's why: patients with cognitive impairment often don't remember they need help to get out of bed. They'll try to climb out on their own — sometimes at 3 AM, sometimes with side rails in the way. When falls happen (and they usually do), the injury severity depends on how far they fall.

The 5410 LOW drops as low as 9.5" from the floor (vs 15" on the standard 5410IVC). That difference means a fall from bed lands them almost at floor level — dramatically reducing the chance of a broken hip, head injury, or serious bruise.

Add a bedside fall mat next to the LOW bed and you have a solid safety setup that respects the patient's dignity without physical restraints. Call (713) 695-4939 and we'll walk you through the LOW bed and mat pairing.
Do you have an XL (longer) or LOW version of the Drive Delta bed?
The Drive Delta 15033 comes only in the standard 80" configuration, with no XL (84") or LOW variants in this line. If you need those features, look at the Invacare 5410 family:

Need an XL (84" long) bed for a tall patient (6'1" to 6'6"): The Invacare 5410IVC XL package has the 4" longer sleep surface.
Need a LOW bed for fall injury reduction: The Invacare 5410 LOW package drops to 9.5" (vs this Drive bed's 14" minimum).
Need both tall AND fall-risk: The Invacare 5410 LOW XL package combines both.

Call (713) 695-4939 if you're not sure which fits your patient's situation.
What happens if the power goes out?
Every motorized function on the Drive Delta 15033 has a manual crank backup. If the power fails — storm, blown fuse, whatever — you can still safely adjust the head, foot, and bed height to reposition the patient. That's a critical safety feature that many cheaper hospital beds don't include. Cranks are located in accessible spots at the head and foot of the bed.
What size sheets does this bed need?
The sleep surface is 36" W × 80" L, which is the standard hospital bed size. Regular Twin sheets (39" × 75") don't fit well — they're too wide and too short. You need sheets specifically sized for a hospital bed mattress.

We sell a 3-Piece Hospital Bedding Set that's properly sized (fitted bottom sheet, oversized top sheet, pillowcase). Add it to your order when you call and we'll bundle it in.
How much room do I need in the bedroom?
The bed frame itself is 36" wide (40" with rails) × 88" long. For safe caregiver access, we recommend:

    • At least 3 feet of clearance on both sides for patient transfers, sheet changes, and bathing
    • At least 2 feet at the foot of the bed for the overbed table or wheelchair positioning
    • Total recommended room area: about 10' × 10' minimum for comfortable use

The bed can be pushed against a wall if space is tight — but leaving both sides accessible makes caregiving significantly easier. Call (713) 695-4939 if you want help thinking through room layout.
How is the bed delivered and set up?
We offer White Glove Delivery — our team brings the bed to your home, carries it to the room of your choice (1st floor), assembles it, installs the mattress and rails, and demos the hand pendant before we leave. Invacare recommends 2-person handling for these beds, and our team is trained for it.

The whole process usually takes about 30 minutes. You don't lift anything, use any tools, or figure anything out. We remove all packaging materials before we leave. Delivery fee applies — call (713) 695-4939 for a quote.
What is a Halo Safety Ring, and how does it differ from a regular side rail?
A Halo Safety Ring (also called a "bedside assist ring" or "double halo rail") is a circular grab-handle that mounts to the side of the hospital bed frame. Instead of the flat, horizontal bar you get with standard side rails, the Halo gives you a ring you can grip from any angle.

    The main functional difference:

Standard side rails = fall prevention. They act as a barrier along the side of the bed to keep the patient from rolling out.
Halo Safety Rings = mobility assistance. They give the patient a solid handhold to sit up, stand up, or reposition — like a permanent grab bar on the bed.

Halos are much easier to grip for patients with arthritis, hand weakness, or reduced grip strength because the round shape means you don't need a precision grip. Our Double Rings Halo kit comes with two rings for both sides of the bed.
Who benefits most from adding Halo Safety Rings?
    Halos are especially helpful for:

Post-surgical recovery patients who need help sitting up or transferring in and out of bed
Elderly patients with general weakness who can move independently but need a reliable handhold
Patients with arthritis or reduced hand grip — the round shape is easier to grab than a flat rail
Stroke recovery patients working on independent transfers
Anyone who transfers between the bed and a walker or wheelchair — the halo gives a stable pivot point

Halos are not the right choice if the primary concern is fall prevention for a bedridden or cognitively impaired patient — for that, full-length side rails or the 5410 LOW bed are safer options. Call (713) 695-4939 if you want help picking the right setup.
Can I have Halo Safety Rings AND standard side rails on the same bed?
Usually yes — the Halo mounts to a different position on the bed frame than standard side rails, so many patients use them together. A common setup:

Full-length side rails on both sides for fall prevention at night
Halo ring on the side the patient uses to get in and out of bed

That combination gives you fall prevention when the rails are up and mobility assistance when they're down. Configurations vary by bed model and rail type, so call us at (713) 695-4939 to confirm compatibility with your specific setup — we'll walk through what fits and what makes sense for the patient.
    What's the warranty coverage?
The Drive Delta 15033 comes with Drive Medical's standard homecare bed warranty coverage — separate terms typically apply to the frame, the electrical/mechanical components, and the included mattress.

Because warranty terms can change and are set directly by Invacare, we don't publish specific durations here to avoid outdated information. For warranty service, please refer to your warranty documentation and call E Care Medical Supplies at (713) 695-4939 — we'll help point you in the right direction.

Drive Medical Delta Ultra Light 15033 Full Electric Hospital Bed Package — Economy Value Homecare Bed

About this product — Quick answers
